Stories of a Chicago Police Officer, a thirty year collection of unusual, bizarre and humorous memories of Larry Casey, a retired sergeant of the Chicago Police Department.
We at the Chicago Mob Museum are very happy to do anything in the world to help law enforcement any time and in any way that we can. In this instance, our friend former Chicago Police Department sergeant Larry Casey is donating a portion of his book sales to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. So we hope that a little promotion on our website will help sell a few copies. And certainly when the Chicago Organized Crime & Law Enforcement Museum is up and running, we will also donate some portion of museum admission fees or other income derived thereof to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. What a great organization.
Author Larry Casey trades thoughts about his police experience which led him to write a book of his memories. “I did not want to bore people with the typical police style writings of shooting em ups. And seeing I was always a proponent of humor being a policeman’s best outlet for stress and pressure, I decided it was appropriate of me, to write a very different genre of police book. My compilation of short stories is based on the humorous side of police work. Mainly I detail accounts that rarely make their way to the public’s ear. Honesty is also a base for many memories, stories that were too raw or considered too embarrassing for the everyday reader.”
